To My Dear Students:
It is my absolute pleasure to instruct you in the theory component of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program at ATI and prepare you for a smooth transition into the sonography laboratory component. Throughout the various modules I teach, I emphasize that the key to success in this program is to be actively engaged during lectures, ask questions, apply the material by using critical thinking skills, and organize lecture materials and notes from the start. Organization skills will serve you well when preparing for exams at ATI and throughout your careers as sonographers.
Learning and teaching are my greatest passions. I have learned as much from my wonderful students as they have from me. I am a better instructor because of my students. Asking for clarification on a topic, for additional background details on a specific disease process, and contributing to class discussions benefits the learning of your fellow students and motivates me to enhance my lectures for future cohorts by researching updates on the content and incorporating this information into my lectures. My goal is to inspire each student to continue learning at any age and even at advanced stages of their careers. Learning is a lifelong process.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your journey here at ATI. I wish you all the absolute best during your training at ATI and beyond.

The ARDMS administers examinations and awards credentials in the areas of ultrasound. The ARDMS is seen as the gold standard of ultrasound credentials and most employers require ARDMS credentials.

It is critical for the job description of a sonographer to accurately reflect their daily duties and responsibilities. A job description serves as the basis for establishing patient care responsibilities, confirming departmental roles, orienting new employees, and serving as an evaluation tool for job performance.
